How does Body and Mind work?

Weekly support sessions include a one hour 1-1 session with one of the three wellbeing officers and a variety of group activities. All of the following activities are free apart from the swimming which is held at Coventry Swimming baths in Fairfax Street.

These include: swimming, walking, circuit training, stretching, relaxation, self esteem, cookery and nutrition.

The programme starts with the completion of a wellbeing questionnaire and a physical health assessment which includes;

  • Height (cm)
  • Weight (Kg)
  • BP (mmHg)
  • Resting Heart Rate
  • Body fat %
  • BMI
  • Waist/Hip ratio (cm)

The same assessment is carried out at the end of the programme which helps monitor any progress that has been made during the twelve weeks.
