SHARE offers a structured course that includes the following:

  • Simple explanations of the physiology of stress
  • Diaphragmatic breathing skills
  • Deep relaxation skills
  • Applied active tension control
  • ‘Emergency’ coping techniques
  • Understanding depression
  • Positive and practical aspects of anxiety management

Additional options that may be available after the basic course:

  • A 6 week ‘social skills’ class (includes a session on bereavement and loss)
  • An active social group for those who need on-going support
